HOT BROWN HONEY STATEMENT COVID-19
Hot Brown Honey give our Love and Respect to the First Nations Peoples across the unceded territories we live and collectively make art with. Always was. Always will be.
In these unprecedented times, it comes with great sadness that we are unable to make noise with all of you at our shows around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As Artists from Global First Nations, as Black and Brown Women, as Women of Colour it is clear that we are in vulnerable positions. We have lost most of the work we would have had for an unforeseeable time. Amidst the worry and fear, we take up our roles as Matriarchs in training with households to run, children and elders to look after and communities from around the world to check in on.
As we free fall, we have responsibility to keep on keeping on. So we don't stop! But we can't do this alone. At the forefront Hot Brown Honey is about giving our communities the opportunity to stay alive and safe, to keep creating and keep connecting. This is a time of uncertainty. A time of great change. A time of process. A time of action. A time to mobilise. A time where Radical Fierce Love is the core of every decision we make, no matter how big or small.
This is our world Mother Lovers. Now we prepare for care. This is how we do it.
Welcome to the Hot Brown Honey Revolution. World Isolation Tour.
